The effect of thermal aging homogenized Fe-Au and Fe-Au-W alloys, irradiated at room temperature with hydrogen ions, was studied for an treatment 300 °C times up to 100 h. behavior the Fe-based alloys is compared results pure Fe. precipitation Au-rich W-rich precipitates its correlation H+ irradiation-induced defects investigated by variable energy positron annihilation spectroscopy (VEPAS). formation open-volume after irradiation monitored increase in S parameter, while recovery vacancy-like are signalled W parameter. continuously develops during long-term aging, as indicated change parameter alloy not only due solute on Au precipitates, but also because interface Laves phase matrix.
